Spanish artist Sonia Alins has created surreal paper cut illustration series titled Into the Water (Dones d’Aigua) featuring women floating in the water. Drawn with ink and coloured with watercolour, then cut and placed on a semitransparent paper that serves as water. They stay afloat in an aquatic environment, with only some parts above water level. Identified with surrealism and poetry, Dones d’aigua series showcasing dramatic intensity, and intimate experiences wrapped in metaphorical, allegorical and surreal atmosphere.
