Mairi Timoney is an artist living and working in Edinburgh. Her mixed media collages emerge from a preoccupation with the formal elements. Surface, space, pattern, and color, and an intellectual interest in exploring place and narrative. The fragmented landscapes which appear in Mairi’s work come from an attraction to unfamiliar surroundings, quiet landscapes, architecture and the lives and stories of the people that inhabit these spaces.
