Block Party: Rainbow Mural for Manhattan Park Pool by Andrew Faris
2nd year of Manhattan Park’s pop-up pool installation, with art by Andrew Faris, and design by K&Co and Pliskin Architecture.
Andrew Faris created this rainbow mural, collaboration with K&Co. and Pliskin Architecture for the Manhattan Park Pool on Roosevelt Island in New York City. 8,000 sq. ft. and over 60 gallons of paint. Completed Spring 2016. The pool club also features loungers, hammocks, beach-style lifeguard chairs, and other deck furniture.
The video below captures the transition from last year’s mural by HOTTEA to Andrew’s interpretation of the 8,000sq. ft. canvas, and through to the placement of the lounge chairs, hammocks, and sun-brellas.
