Abstract Paintings with Stuffed Animals

Hippopart, abstract paintings produced using a stuffed animals by Russian artist Rostan Tavasiev.

The artist says; “I took a rabbit, dipped it in paint and made a mark on the canvas.The result struck me as curious. Stopped time, a suspended motion, it resembles an abstract painting, but if you leave a toy on the canvas, then you have quite a figurative character, forever glued to the canvas, preserved between past and future, like a Mesozoic mosquito stuck inside a piece of amber.”
