Human Body Sculptures by Antony Gormley
British artist Antony Gormley creates sculptures, and installations that investigate the relationship of the human body to space. His work explores the body as a place rather than an object, and evolve into a new kind of structural complexity. His abstract, minimal, and skeleton-like human body sculptures which were constructed from stainless steel bars, aluminium, or steel wires that visualize the core of the human figure. He is revealing the body as a dynamic construction of atoms, molecules and particles, as a complex entity with a surface, an inside and an outside that seem to be in permanent mutation.
